The opportunity

Psychology where the decisions are made

Business owners carry decisions, pressure and leadership that rarely switch off. Sublime Studio helps them build their Psychological Capital: hope, efficacy (confidence), resilience and optimism.

This is sustained work, not a one-off workshop. Members stay in a structured relationship over time, which means you see the effect of the work on real decisions as they unfold.

Today, member work is led by our founder, Byron McCaughey. To work with more owners without diluting the method, we're building a faculty of psychologists trained in the Sublime method: measure, train, support, review.

The work you'll do

A relationship, structured by a method

  1. Begin with insight

Meet new members after their Psychological Capital Assessment and debrief, so the work starts from a shared picture rather than a blank page.

  2. Sustain the relationship

Deliver the structured Sublime Membership journey: two one-hour sessions a month, with brief support between sessions to help members apply the work in their business.

  3. Read the patterns

Use Sublime Pulse data to notice shifts early and lead quarterly reviews that connect progress to the decisions members are actually facing.

  4. Shape the method

Feed what you see back into the method. Faculty observations help it keep improving.

What this role is, and isn't

Sublime is performance psychology for business owners, not clinical treatment. Faculty work inside the Sublime method and brand, rather than as a separate practice brand. When clinical support would serve a member better, you'll help them find the right pathway. Your professional, documentation and confidentiality obligations as a psychologist still apply.

Support for your practice

You won't be doing this alone

Faculty are engaged as contractors under a service agreement.

Training in the method and Pulse
Learn the Sublime method (measure, train, support, review) and how to use the Sublime Pulse platform in member work.
Supervision and case support
Work under supervision from Byron while you're getting started, with case support available as you build confidence in the approach.
A community of practice
Think alongside a small group of Sublime faculty: colleagues working with the same method and similar questions.
Member matching
Sublime matches members to faculty. Matching depends on fit and member demand, so it isn't a promise of a set number of referrals.

Getting to know each other

A mutual process

Each stage is a chance for both of us to decide whether this is the right fit.

  1. Expression of interest

Send a short note about your practice and your experience with senior clients, with your CV.

  2. A conversation with Byron

A two-way conversation: we learn about your practice, and you can ask about ours.

  3. Observation and case discussion

You'll observe the method and complete a short case discussion, so you can see how the work runs.

  4. Training and supervised work

If it's a good fit for both of us, you'll start with training and supervised member work.

Practical questions

Before you get in touch

Do I need an area of practice endorsement?

No. General registration as a psychologist with AHPRA is accepted. An endorsement is not required.

Is coaching or performance experience required?

It's preferred, not essential. What is essential is extensive experience working with clients in senior roles.

How is the engagement arranged?

Faculty are engaged as contractors under a service agreement. That's why we ask that you are currently in private practice and registered for GST. Specific terms are discussed later in the process.

Where are sessions delivered?

Both in person and online. You'll need access to your own suitable location for in-person sessions, and the ability to deliver sessions online.

What training and support will I receive?

Training in the Sublime method and the Sublime Pulse platform, supervision and case support from Byron while you're getting started, and a small community of practice with other faculty.

Is this clinical work?

No. Sublime is performance psychology for business owners, not clinical treatment. When clinical support would serve a member better, you'll help them find the right pathway. Your professional obligations as a psychologist, including documentation and confidentiality, continue to apply.

What should my expression of interest include?

A short note about your practice and your experience with senior clients, with your CV attached. Email it to hello@sublimestudio.com.au.
